Our Story
First Presbyterian Church Today
Today First Presbyterian Church of Bismarck is a vital congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Currently, the church located in the center city of Bismarck, has a membership of 700 adults and 200 children.
The church has a strong education program for all ages. Logos, a weekday program for elementary age children, attracts both church children and their friends for fun and worship, study and service. There is also an active teen program.
The church supports a Child Care Center for infants and toddlers of working families who find it difficult to afford quality child care. Members are involved in area mission. They participate in Habitat for Humanity, the Ruth Meiers Hospitality House, and the congregation's lay preachers program, which provides worship leadership for surrounding smaller congregations.
As part of its older adult ministry, the church employs a parish nurse. The parish nurse, along with the pastors, ministers to the whole person, body and soul.
